Avalon is dedicated to developing a strong therapeutic relationship with clients with a life-affirming focus. She provides empathy, respect, and compassion in a non-judgmental, safe environment. Her approach empowers clients to make lasting changes in their lives and to increase feelings of self-esteem and self-worth. Avalon uses an integrated approach based on the client’s individual needs. She incorporates CBT, developmental theory, body awareness, mindfulness, psychodynamic and insight-oriented practices in her work. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
